Information You Provide

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide when using the App:

  • Account Information: Email address and password when you create an account
  • Focus Session Data: Duration and timestamps of focus sessions you initiate
  • Card Information: NFC card identifiers that you register with the App
  • App Preferences: Your selected apps to block during focus sessions (stored as anonymized tokens, not app names)

Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do NOT collect:

  • We do NOT collect your Screen Time data or device usage statistics
  • We do NOT monitor which apps you use or how long you use them
  • We do NOT access your contacts, photos, messages, or other personal content
  • We do NOT track your location
  • We do NOT collect data from children under 13

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the App's functionality
  • Sync your focus session history across your devices
  • Enable NFC card authentication for starting/stopping focus sessions
  • Display your focus statistics and streaks within the App
  • Respond to your support requests

Screen Time API Usage

Reboot uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks) to block apps during focus sessions. Important points about this usage:

  • These APIs require your explicit permission before activation
  • App blocking only occurs during focus sessions that YOU initiate
  • We cannot see which specific apps you select to block – Apple's API uses anonymized tokens
  • All Screen Time functionality runs locally on your device
  • You can revoke Screen Time permissions at any time in your device Settings

Data Storage and Security

We use Firebase (provided by Google) to store your account and session data. Your data is protected by:

  • Secure HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Firebase Authentication for secure account access
  • Firebase Security Rules that restrict data access to only your account
  • Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized access

Your focus session preferences and statistics are stored in Firebase Firestore. This enables syncing across devices if you sign in with the same account.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage. Firebase's privacy policy applies to their processing of data.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication: For secure user account management
  • Firebase Firestore: For storing user data and focus session history
  • Apple Screen Time APIs: For app blocking functionality

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review:

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Focus session history is retained for up to 180 days to provide statistics and streak calculations.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App settings. Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data
  • Revoke Permissions: Revoke Screen Time permissions at any time via device Settings
  • Opt-out: Disable notifications in the App or device Settings

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at tymoteusz707@gmail.com and we will delete such information.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Firebase servers are located globally. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
